Questions & answers
Everything you wanted to know about coffee meetings with mentors.
How does it work?
Choose a mentor, pick a free time in their calendar, answer two short questions and pay the booking fee. The mentor approves every request personally. Once they approve, the meeting goes into both your calendars, with an address or a video link. All that's left is to show up. If the mentor can't make it, your payment becomes a credit for another meeting, or is refunded.
How much does it cost?
$15 per meeting, or ₪45 in Israel (you can choose either when you book). Mentors give their time for free and aren't paid. The booking fee goes to Morning.
Why pay if mentors volunteer?
When meetings were free, some people didn't show up, and mentors waited at the café for nothing. Since we added a small booking fee, almost everyone shows up. Paying creates commitment, and it shows mentors that someone really wants to meet them.
Who are the mentors?
Experienced professionals from dozens of fields: founders, investors, designers, product people, marketers and more. Every new mentor is vouched for by 3 active mentors in the community, then approved by Morning.
In person or by video?
Both. Each mentor chooses how to meet: at a café, by video, or either. You choose what suits you when you book.
How should I prepare?
Before the meeting you answer two questions: who you are and what your project is, and what you'd like to talk about. A few clear sentences help your mentor come prepared. In the meeting itself, bring 2–3 specific questions.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel through the site. The full cancellation and refund terms are in the terms of use.
Does my mentor see my email and phone?
Your mentor sees your name, phone and answers so they can prepare. Emails between you go through the site, without revealing your email address.
How do I become a mentor?
Joining Morning is by invitation. Fill in a short profile on the "Become a mentor" page, and mentors from the community approve it. Joining and mentoring are free.
Which languages?
The site is in Hebrew and English, and mentors speak Hebrew, English and more. Each profile lists the mentor's languages.
